JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Requirements:

  • Candidate selection is based on the possession of a Diploma or Baccalaureate in Nursing.
  • One year of direct experience in mental health nursing is required, with a preference for acute care or community mental health.
  • Presently registered as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA) or eligible to obtain a license
  • Possess a valid Yukon.ca registration or the ability to obtain one to practice as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).
  • Possess a legitimate and current CPR/BLS certification.
  • A background in mental health would be regarded as a valuable asset.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Check of Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Records (within the past 12 months).
  • Evidence of Covid Vaccination

Possess or be prepared to acquire the following: WHMIS, N95 respirator, and tuberculosis test
