Mexico Government Scholarship 2024 – Fully Funded

Applications are being accepted in Mexico. All International Students from more than 180 countries are eligible to apply for the Government of Mexico’s Fully Funded Scholarships of Excellence for Foreigners. There is a great opportunity for students from all over the world to study for their Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degrees in Mexico for free. The award is sponsored by the Mexican government. The scholarship is available for the academic year 2024.

Almost all academic subjects and majors are available for students from all over the world to pursue an Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree through the Mexico Scholarship. The scholarship will cover all of the costs of studying abroad.

More than 70 Mexican Superior Education Institutions (IES) participate in this Call, and all have academic programs registered under the Mexican Government’s scholarship program for international students. Applicants of all nationalities are encouraged to apply. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) is offering the scholarship through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID).

Financial Benefits of Mexico Government Scholarship:

The Mexico Government Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship program for international students in Mexico. The scholarship will cover all of the costs associated with studying in Mexico. The following are the specifics of the expenses that are covered:

• Mobility scholarships are available at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels, with a monthly maintenance payment of 4 (four) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which is now equivalent to $12,614.80 in Mexican pesos. The Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) is subject to legal changes. (Child support is paid a month late).
• For Ph.D. scholarships: Doctoral Research Stays and Postdoctoral, Medical Specialties, and Subspecialties, a monthly maintenance payment of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which is currently worth $15,768.50 in Mexican pesos. The Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) is subject to legal changes. (Child support is paid a month late).
• Enrollment and Tuition Fees, in line with the regulations of each Mexican Educational Institution’s program, and subject to each Institution’s final decision, are issued through the acceptance letter.
• Medical insurance will be provided by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), with coverage beginning in the seventh month of the scholarship and lasting for the lifetime of the scholarship. AMEXCID will be in charge of this management in the case of Private Institutions. In the case of public universities, it will be done directly with that institution.
• The cost of obtaining a Mexican visa is waived.
• Upon successful completion of the scholarship, international air transportation will be provided. The ticket will be issued in tourist class and on the basis of the flight route.

Documents Required for Mexico Government Scholarship 2024:

• Scholarship application form, signed and completed.
• A letter outlining your motivation for doing studies or research in Mexico. (No more than two pages, letter Arial size 12 with single line spacing).
• Curriculum vitae (CV). (Arial font size 12, single line spacing, maximum 3 pages).
• Academic acceptance letter from the Mexican institution receiver or HEI response to the admission application (see Requirements portion of the acceptance letter).
• Letter of intent to return to one’s home country.
• Acceptance letter for the Call’s terms.
• A copy of the birth certificate is required.
• A color copy of a valid passport in open book format, or a government-issued photo ID.
• Copy of a medical certificate obtained by a public or private health institution within 3 (three) months of the application presentation, indicating that the Applicant is in good health.
• If Spanish is not the applicant’s first language, he or she must submit a copy of proof of advanced knowledge of the Spanish language issued by any university or educational center for accreditation, which guarantees a minimum level of B2 within the Common Framework European Reference.
• Under protest, the applicant states that the information provided is true in a letter.
• All documents and paperwork must be in Spanish or translated into Spanish.

• Applicants who are not currently residing in Mexico.

• Accepted or already enrolled in a program at one of the Mexican institutions participating in the Call.
• Academic achievement in the candidate’s intended field of study.
• The applicant’s academic and work history influences his or her preferred topic of study or specialization in Mexico.
• The field of study is significant too, and has a direct impact on, the applicant’s country’s development.
• The program must be related to particular current or approved projects that have an influence on the applicant’s country’s growth.
