Timken seeks to add a Sales Engineer to our team. This individual will assist us in growing and protecting our business by utilizing their business and technical expertise to comprehend what our consumers want and how to implement Timken’s expertise and technology across all of our products and services.

As a Sales Engineer, it will be your responsibility to establish and maintain positive customer relationships, identify sales opportunities, and negotiate with customers. Your superior will assist you in learning and developing as a sales leader, and you will be expected to learn how to influence others and drive results.

The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a four-year degree in mechanical engineering (or a related subject) with relevant sales experience, be fluent in business English, and have three to five years of industrial sales experience. We are also seeking individuals with technical expertise, experience managing distributors, and project or contract management experience.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with a minimum of four years of experience) or a four-year degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field such as electrical engineering or mechatronics) with two years of sales experience.
• Two to five years of industrial sales experience and fluency in business English are required.
• Technical proficiency and the capacity to interpret mechanical engineering drawings are essential.
• Knowledge of managing distributors
• Managing initiatives and contracts
• Strong talents in interpersonal communication and public speaking
• Ability to travel 50–70% of the time; MS Office, CRM, or Salesforce experience is a benefit.
