Our hospital-at-home service, located in CAMHS Phoenix on the premises of Wokingham Community Hospital, provides therapeutic and psychiatric interventions that are empirically supported to individuals under the age of 18 who are suffering from severe and complex mental health challenges that are considered to require Tier 4 care. This encompasses instances in which these disorders co-occur with neurodevelopmental diagnoses.

  • Suicidal ideation and behavior; severe risk of self-harm
  • Characteristics and manifestations of emotional dysregulation that are most frequently linked to emergent unstable personality disorder
  • Emotional dysregulation, trauma, or another mental illness in conjunction with disordered eating, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and other similar conditions.
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Psychosis that was initiated promptly
  • Complex PTSD and severe OCD
  • An additional psychological disorder that does not satisfy the conventional diagnostic criteria but may have a detrimental effect on functioning.

The structured program will be adhered to by all adolescents who have been approved for the service, by the relevant NICE recommendations. A multidisciplinary clinical team, which includes a consultant psychiatrist, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, family therapists, teaching staff, support staff (including assistant psychologists), activity coordinators, clinical support staff, administrators, and managerial support, executes the interventions.
