This new network plan intends to boost the number of visitors to Abu Dhabi (AUH) and give tourists more options by:

The updated flight itineraries depart Abu Dhabi at 2 p.m., allowing travelers and guests to enjoy Abu Dhabi’s hotels and attractions until their departure.

Etihad’s network expansion has already begun, with the addition of nine additional destinations this year, including Malaga, Mykonos, Lisbon, Kolkata, St. Petersburg, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Osaka, and Boston.

In addition, the airline has announced new routes to the Indian Subcontinent, notably Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, which will begin in January 2024.

  • Increased Frequencies: Increased frequencies to destinations such as Chennai (MAA), Islamabad (ISB), Kochi (COK), Madrid (MAD), Milan (MXP), Munich (MUC), Rome (FCO), and Phuket (HKT) help to broaden passenger options and improve overall connectivity.
  • Cairo (CAI): Beginning January 1st, an additional 5 weekly flights will provide triple daily operations between Abu Dhabi and Cairo, strengthening the relationship between the two cities.
  • Colombo (CMB): Beginning on December 1st with three flights and growing to four flights on January 1st, Colombo will have seven direct flights per week, providing more travel options.
  • Maldives (MLE): Beginning on December 1st with three flights, followed by four flights on January 1st, the Maldives will benefit from an additional seven weekly flights.
